So I had my birthday and it was good. I'm now 20. fun!
anyway
For those who don't know, I play piano, have done since I was 5 or 6, but despite the long time, I'm pretty average because I was very lazy and didn't practice much. But I do have a love of pianos and playing them.
So today I was walking around the city with a friend and we came upon a music store which we entered and had a look around. The type with guitars and drum kits. All fun and interesting and enjoyable, but then I hear the sound of piano playing, but I couldn't see any pianos (other than keyboard synth things) and so I started searching.
I eventually found my way up stairs to where they had pianos! There were grands, baby grands, uprights, and some really sophisticated and fancy digital pianos. It was great, going around and feeling the action on all the different pianos. There was some guy about my age playing on a Kawai grand. He was pretty good and it sounded great. Eventually he left and I sat down and had a go...
...G'damn. I've never played on a proper grand before (and this wasn't a concert grand, still wanna try one of those). I'd only ever gotten to play crap ones that'd been killed by school kids in the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. But now I understand what they're all about. It was amazing. The sound is incredible, and the touch is just beautiful. Pity the thing is worth $62,000. I want one so bad.
I didn't have much time to play it, so I'm gonna go back tommorow and see if I can carress it some more. mmm..
it was good.
Anyone play any instruments?

an old fashioned rhyme for you on your special day
Monday's child is fair of face.
Tuesday's child is full of grace.
Wednesday's child is loving and giving.
Thursday's child works hard for a living,
Friday's child fears no foe.
Saturday's child has far to go.
And Sundays child is bonny and wise in every way.
