Well, this is my first attempt at a digital painting, or a painting of any kind, as I have never really drawn, let alone painted, anything more then little scribbles in my school books ;]
So around 25 hours of work later, heres what I came up with...
Tell me what you think, and your interpretation is welcome. :]

Many thanks to this cool mofo: for all the help along the way, and for being a source of inspiration. If you havn't allready, check the dude out, he's got some kickass stuff. =]
It's just so atmospheric. The composition is to die for. It's gorgeous, how the main subject isn't centralised, and is framed so subtly with those mounds and mounds of clouds. You've put me, the viewer [at the very least] right into the picture, like I'm flying by and bearing witness to this beautifully tragic scene. I love the way your mind works ;]
The details are fab, and you know it. I was astounded when you submitted your first digi painting. And seriously you're not going any slower. I look forward to your future endeavours

I could pick at a lot of things at this painting and then be laughed off the international stage, 'cause I can't paint for shit, except MAYBE in watercolours (and only when exhausted!), but if you really want to work on it, will offer criticism.
Still, the composition of this is lovely, as Katie said - well done.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.

We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.

It really makes me think of when you feel completely alone and separated from the world, when it seems no one cares about you...
